Who can be a precinct delegate?
Any registered voter who is a Republican (or willing to declare as one) and lives in the precinct they wish to represent. You must be at least 18 years old and a US citizen.
How much time does it take?
The main commitment is attending 1-2 conventions per year (a few hours each). Beyond that, you can be as involved as you like.
How many delegates does each precinct have?
Each precinct has 1-3 delegate seats based on population. Kalamazoo County has 176 total seats across 90 precincts. Many are currently unfilled!
What if I don't know my precinct?

What does the term last?
Two-year terms, from the August primary to the next August primary. You attend conventions during that period.
Is there a cost?
Filing is free. Some state conventions may have a registration fee, but county convention attendance is always free.
