DESCRIPTION:TODAY - FRIDAY COFFEE - Juneteenth is Friday. It's the oldest k
 nown celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. On 
 June 19th\, 1865\, the Union soldiers\, led by Major General Gordon Granger
  (a Republican)\, landed at Galveston\, Texas with news that the Civil War 
 had ended and the enslaved were now free! Granger's military force and stub
 born resolve formed the basis for the annual "Juneteenth" festivities.\n\nD
 r. Linda Lee Tarver is an extraordinary speaker and will discuss the histor
 y of Juneteenth. Tarver is a nationally recognized public policy leader\, e
 lection integrity expert\, and seasoned executive with three decades of ser
 vice advancing civic engagement\, community impact\, and principled leaders
 hip. She has held many roles in local\, state and national Republican polit
 ical activism. She was a leader in “Black Women for Trump” in 2020.\n\n
 With a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Theology\, and a Master
 s in Organizational Psychology\, she has built a distinguished career at t
 he intersection of government\, public policy\, and community advocacy. She
  served in senior leadership roles within the Michigan Department of State\
 , including Director of Community Affairs and Election Integrity Liaison\, 
 where she advised on policy\, led statewide initiatives\, and strengthened 
 relationships across diverse communities.\n\nAs a former Michigan Civil Rig
 hts Commissioner\, she contributed to critical public discourse and policy\
 , including work surrounding the Flint Water Crisis. Her leadership spans c
 oalition building\, legislative analysis\, grassroots mobilization\, and st
 rategic communications.\n\nDr. Tarver is the President of Tarver Consulting
 \, where she advises political candidates\, organizations\, and small busin
 esses on strategy\, messaging\, and growth. A respected national speaker an
 d author\, she brings clarity\, conviction\, and insight to issues of faith
 \, freedom\, and governance.\n\nShe has been recognized statewide and natio
 nally for her leadership\, advocacy\, and commitment. Her strong Christian
