The Friday Coffee speaker is Kristi Potts, owner of KZoo Cream Frosted Whispers Cookies. The business opened in September. Potts is a second-generation baker dedicated to preserving her mother Sue's secret recipe. The cookie shop is a women-owned and family run small business. Their cookies are crafted with love and care, ensuring every bite is a delightful experience. Sue Potts was a home economics teacher at Portage Public Schools for 30 years and had a cult following for her decadent desserts. After perfecting the recipe, her daughter Kristi launched her own cookie business, with her motherβs assistance. The cookie shop is at 1502 South Westnedge (the former Dairy Queen and Taco Bobβs). The new business was supported by City of Kalamazoo Economic Development Department and nonprofits like Michigan Women Forward.π Friday, January 23, 2026
